Information Structure and Grammar
- Information Structure is not the same as grammatical structure.
- It is possible to stage information in a sentence in many different ways. There are many possible Information Structures to choose from if you know a wide range of grammatical structures.
- It is important to remember that even if a sentence is grammatically correct, the meaning may not be clear in the paragraph if the Information Structure chosen is not appropriate.
