Changing your lab procedure into a report : Part 1

The aim of your lab class is to train you to carry out practical experiments. Therefore your assessment is based on the following

Preparing a pure sample in good yield is important (you will be assessed on your ability to do this) but this is not enough. You also need to show that you understand the lab procedure involved by displaying it, firstly as a flowsheet and secondly, recounting it in writing and calculating the yield you obtained. Finally, your answers to the questions on the experiment will show that you understand the background to your experiment and why this particular lab procedure is used to obtain your sample.
